On April 22, 2013 patrol units responded to a residence in Lexington Park, Maryland for the report of a Burglary and Assault. Patrol units determined several male subjects had forced entry into the occupied residence and began assaulting a male and female inside. The suspects then stole several pieces of jewelry, a cell phone, television and U.S. currency. Both victims sustained multiple injuries as a result of the assault. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were contacted and assumed the investigation.
Detectives continued to gather information regarding the incident from various resources and as a result were able to positively identify one of suspects in the case. On October 23, 2013 Det./Cpl. Sarah Russell obtained an arrest warrant for Keyonte Terez Robinson, age 20, of Lexington Park, Maryland.
On December 8, 2013 Robinson was located by patrol units on North Essex Dr. in Lexington Park and placed under arrest. Robinson was served the warrant charging him with 2 counts of Assault First Degree, 2 counts of Assault Second Degree, Burglary First Degree, Robbery and Theft Under $1,000. He is currently being held in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center under no bond.
