Theft less $100

On August 7, 2013, Deputy Jason Kerns responded to Wal-mart in California, Maryland, for a theft.  Wal-mart loss prevention personnel advised John Pierre Walker, 22 of Lusby, Maryland, concealed merchandise in his backpack.  Walker then proceeded to the checkout line and paid for one item.  Walker passed all points of sale failing to pay for the additional items in his backpack.  Walker was arrested and charged on a Maryland Criminal Citation for Theft less $100.  Walker was also served a “No Trespass Notice” for Wal-mart.

On August 9, 2013, Deputies responded to Kohl’s in Lexington Park, Maryland, for a theft.  Upon Deputies arrival, they met with the Loss Prevention Officer who advised Terrence Lamar Barnes, 18 of Lexington Park, Maryland, entered the dressing room with a new pair of jeans.  Barnes then exited the dressing room wearing the new jeans.  Barnes passed all points of sale failing to pay for the merchandise.  Barnes was arrested and charged with Theft less $100.  Cpl. William Ray was the arresting Deputy.

2nd Degree Assault

On August 8, 2013, Deputy Blaine Gaskill responded to a residence on Sea Side View in Ridge, Maryland, for an assault.  Deputy Gaskill met with the victim who advised Rosilee Mary Bryant, 51 of Ridge, Maryland, began an argument with the victim.  Bryant then slapped the victim repeatedly in the face causing injury.  Bryant was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.

2nd Degree Assault/Disorderly Conduct/Malicious Destruction of Property

On August 8, 2013, Deputies responded to a residence on Allison Circle in Mechanicsville, Maryland, for a disturbance.  The Emergency Communication Center advised responding Deputies they were receiving numerous calls of a male subject beating on the front door to the residence and yelling.  Upon arrival, DFC Jason Graves observed a male subject later identified as Joseph Axzavias Stewart, 33 of Mechanicsville, Maryland, attempting to gain entry to the back of the residence.  Stewart was detained and investigation revealed the victim and Stewart were in an argument earlier in the day.  Stewart left the residence, returning several hours later.  The victim and Stewart began to argue.  The argument escalated when Stewart assaulted the victim causing her injury.  The victim fled to the residence securing the doors, for her safety.  Stewart’s subsequent actions and attempts to gain entry caused damage to the residence and created a disturbance in the community.  Stewart was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault/Disorderly Conduct/Malicious Destruction of Property.  Deputy Lacey Johnson was the arresting Deputy.

On August 9, 2013, Deputy Jason Kerns responded to a residence on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, Maryland, for an assault.  Deputy Kerns met with the victim who advised she was in an argument with Gabriel Xavier Cassagnol, 53 of Lexington Park, Maryland.  The argument escalated when Cassagnol grabbed the victim by her neck and threw her to the ground, causing injury.  Cassagnol was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.

Disorderly Conduct/Failure to Obey/Obstructing and Hindering

On August 11, 2013, Deputies responded to a residence on Bristol Avenue in Lexington Park, Maryland, for a disturbance.  While investigating the disturbance, a subject later identified as Michael Andrew Dorsey Jr., 22 of Lexington Park, Maryland, attempted to walk past Deputy William Bankhead into the residence.  Dorsey was instructed to remain outside and on the sidewalk while Deputies conducted their investigation.  Bankhead repeatedly encroached on Deputy Bankhead failing to comply with his orders.  Dorsey began yelling outside of the residence drawing attention of neighbors.  Dorsey was ordered to cease.  Dorsey refused all commands by Deputy Bankhead.  Dorsey was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct/Failure to Obey/Obstructing and Hindering.

On August 10, 2013, Deputy James Lloyd responded to a residence on Gross Drive in California, Maryland, for an assault.  Deputy Lloyd met with the victim who advised she was involved in an argument with Jamie Lee Rose Emory, 21 of California, Maryland.  The victim advised she caught Emory in a room in the residence she did not belong and confronted Emory.  When the victim went to call the police Emory assaulted the victim leaving marks and causing injury.  Emory was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
